Miller House at Frank Family Vineyards

Napa Valley’s Frank Family Vineyards, located at 1091 Larkmead Lane, has opened its highly anticipated new hospitality barn, The Miller House. The Miller House honors the endless contributions of founder Leslie Frank, born Leslie Miller, whose vision was to create a unique and special entertaining area for guests of the Frank family. The Miller House showcases Leslie’s distinctively chic style combined with the farmhouse elegance of renowned architect Howard J. Bacon. It will serve as a canvas for the winery’s most exclusive and elevated experiences where Frank family wines will be paired with cuisine from celebrity chef Christina McMurray.

“Leslie Frank is a former Emmy Award-winning news journalist who has long served as one of the visionaries of the Frank family,” said Liam Gearity, Director of Hospitality. “She also exudes good taste and hospitality, so we were determined to name the new location after her from the start.”

The Miller House rises on the spacious member’s lawn behind the tasting room in the craftsman home of the Frank Family, inviting guests to savor their vineyard-centered wines while gazing at the surrounding vineyards and mountains Enjoys taking small, curvy bites. Featuring sustainably reclaimed wood, high ceilings, and natural earth tones that bring the outdoors inside, the space was expertly designed without sparing any detail.

“Rich and I were actually married on this site,” says Leslie Frank. “This is a very special place to me. I wanted to create a space that integrated the natural beauty that surrounds us, where our guests could experience the joy of nature here in Calistoga.

The Miller House allows guests to enjoy a seamless indoor-outdoor experience on the Napa Valley floor no matter the time of year. The 2,300-square-foot structure features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, custom-made recycled ash wood tables, large statement mirrors, artistic light fixtures and an inviting living room with cognac-colored leather sofas around a central fireplace There is lounge area. Each element was thoughtfully chosen by Frank along with Napa-based interior designer Robin Beck of Hawkins Interiors. They paired the contemporary interior with an additional 1,100 square feet of outdoor covered seating for tastings and private and winery-hosted events, where guests can mingle with the valley’s serene landscape.

Chef Machmar, one of Napa Valley’s premier chefs and winner of season four of Fox Hell’s Kitchen, has created a hyper-seasonal, authentic farm-to-table wine and dining experience for The Miller House guests. Each new pairing is hand-selected to demonstrate how the aroma, texture and flavor profiles of the Frank Family’s estate-run wines are accentuated by the food. “I like to think of this experience as a masterclass on food and wine pairing,” said Gearity, who will guide guests through each pairing with their team of experienced wine educators and take the time to explain why they provide the fundamental pairing of why they work well together.” Tips that can be easily implemented at home.

The ever-evolving menu showcases the best of the season while highlighting locally grown ingredients, like home-grown Meyer lemons from the Frank Family’s Winston Hill or Centurion trees picked from their estate’s Benjamin Vineyards in Rutherford Mission Fig. The tasting begins with blanc de blancs from the Frank family and perhaps a homemade yeasted blini with caviar and crème fraîche. Pairings become progressively more umami-driven as the tasting moves into red—such as a shredded Spanish Fut with Winston Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.

The food and wine explorations offered at The Miller House are ideal for private groups or guests who prefer to meet others with shared interests in food and wine. The Miller House Elevated Experience starts at $120 per guest, $60 per club member. The outdoor patio is also available for free $60 per person seated estate tastings for members.
