Juventus will continue their resurgence towards the top four with a crucial Derby d’Italia against Inter on Sunday.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side are in hot form and would actually be above their opponents had it not been for their 15-point deduction, so Juve will want to use this game to send a message.
Here’s how the boss could set up.
GK: Wojciech Szczesny – Third in the Serie A clean sheet charts, Szczesny would love to add another shutout here.
CB: Danilo – Danilo plays most of his football centrally these days and will be needed here once again.
CB: Bremer – With Leonardo Bonucci not 100%, it may be down to Bremer to control things in the middle.
CB: Federico Gatti – Gatti is usually the first reserve in defence and will likely get the nod over Daniele Rugani if Bonucci cannot start.
RM: Juan Cuadrado – He might have just played most of the midweek win over Freiburg, but Juventus will be doing everything to ensure Cuadrado is fit enough for this one as well.
CM: Nicolo Fagioli – Fabio Miretti needs a late fitness test but he’s unlikely to displace Fagioli anyway.
CM: Manuel Locatelli – After an uncomfortable start to the Allegri era, Locatelli appears to have found his place in midfield.
CM: Adrien Rabiot – Only Danilo has played more minutes for Juventus this season than Rabiot, who is in excellent goalscoring form.
LM: Filip Kostic – Kostic has three assists in his last four Serie A outings and has been crucial to this recent run.
ST: Angel Di Maria – Moise Kean’s suspension means Di Maria will again take up this central role which has yielded plenty of success in 2023.
ST: Dusan Vlahovic – One of the few negatives over the past few weeks has been Vlahovic’s lack of goals. He’s five without a goal in Serie A but did end his drought in midweek.
