Ravi Modi, the founder of Vedanta Fashion, was the top gainer on the list, with a 376 percent increase in net worth. On February 16, Vedanta Fashion was listed in the Indian markets. Last year, Nayar had a 345 percent lead over Modi.

With 283 people on the list, Mumbai tops the list of the wealthy. This was followed by New Delhi (185), and Bengaluru (89) with assets worth more than Rs 1,000 crore.
