Hanesbrands, a global leader in iconic apparel brands, has announced that Lorenzo Moretti has been named President of Champion Europe. Moretti will drive the growth of the Champion brand across Europe, with a focus on growing the business by delivering innovative products and building brand goodwill. He will lead the Champion Europe direct-to-consumer business and build on the company’s strong position in wholesale channels. Moretti will join Hanesbrands in July and will be based in Carpi, Italy.

HanesBrands has appointed Lorenzo Moretti as President of Champion Europe, with a focus on driving growth by delivering innovative products. Having held senior leadership positions at Dr. Martens, Office Holdings, Nike, Gap and Tesco, Moretti brings extensive experience across the activewear category, consumer goods, marketing, e-commerce and retail.

Moretti has extensive experience across activewear categories, consumer goods, marketing, e-commerce and retail. He joins HanesBrands from Dr Martens – Airwire International Ltd, where he was President of EMEA, driving significant revenue and earnings growth while expanding into new and existing markets. Moretti led an overhaul of the company’s product and marketing strategy with a focus on the consumer.

Prior to joining Martens in 2020, Moretti served as Chief Executive Officer at UK-based fashion retailer Office Holdings Ltd. Earlier in his career, Moretti held senior leadership positions at Nike, where he was responsible for the company’s European football strategy and development and the company’s European direct-to-consumer business. Moretti also held senior leadership positions at Gap and Tesco, the company said in a press release.

“Champion is an iconic brand with a record of innovation and style, and I am thrilled to help unlock the enormous potential of this brand in Europe,” said Moretti. “I look forward to working with the passionate Champion Europe team as we take the brand to the next level.”
