Maybourne Beverly Hills is welcoming sister hotel Claridge’s to an Afternoon Tea residency. This time, it’s a partnership with Goop.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 1 and 2, offering traditional English tea accompanied by California-inspired treats.
Behind the dessert menu is Claridge’s executive pastry chef Thibault Hauchard; Visitors can expect scones with whipped ricotta, strawberry Eton Mess, as well as smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches and “goop-inspired” treats. Entertaining From Gwyneth Paltrow’s personal recipe collection”—all served on peach and white striped bone china by French porcelain Bernardaud.
Hosted at the hotel’s open-air restaurant The Terrace by Beverly Cannon Gardens, the experience costs $150 per person. Reservations can be made online at OpenTable.

For Goop, this is the moment to buy; The brand will sell its accessories and beauty collection onsite.
“Goop was founded 15 years ago on Gwyneth Paltrow’s kitchen table in London, and Claridge’s, one of our favorite spots across the pond, is bringing it to Los Angeles for a weekend, celebrating our Emilia Wickstead x Goop Also celebrates the collection, it really is a full circle moment. us,” Noora Raj Brown, executive vice president of brands at Goop, said in a statement.
Wickstead, a New Zealand fashion designer based in London, collaborated with the lifestyle brand on a limited-edition line launching March 26. According to Goop, “elements of the collection will be on display during the afternoon tea residency.”
The Maybourne Beverly Hills is the first North American property from the Maybourne Hotel Group, which also owns Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley in London, as well as the Maybourne Riviera in France. They will then unveil Emory in London this winter.
