The factory is expected to produce more than 70,000 pairs of shoes a month, which will be exported to European and American markets, said Hu Zhaohui, chairman of Alvin Sukali, who recently met with Cambodia’s LVT minister Ith Sameng.
According to Cambodian media reports, Zhaohui has sought recommendations from the ministry regarding labor laws and regulations.
Chinese footwear firm Alvin Sukali will relocate from Myanmar to Cambodia’s Samraong Tong commune in Kampong Speu province this June and offer jobs to more than 1,000 people, according to the latter’s Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. The unit is expected to produce 70,000 pairs of shoes a month which will be exported to European and American markets.
Samhaeng said the company should join trade associations to become familiar with the rules, laws and other aspects of doing business in the country.
